FAB supply a large range of Cat Cams performance BMW camshafts for those of you wishing to give your engine that extra edge.  Based in Belgium, Catcams have been designing and manufacturing High Performance Camshaft products for over 15 years.

Whether you require a 'Drop in' cam that will work on a standard engine with standard management or a full race cam with solid followers, Catcams can provide a solution.

Catcams use either high quality chilled iron camshaft blanks or manufacture from steel billet. 

Cast blanks are used when available with suffucient material to generate the required profiles, for example fast road and moderate competition applications.  

For more demanding applications (or when blanks are not available), such as full race projects, Cat Cams use a steel billet.  The advantage of using steel billet is that when weight is an issue a hole of 20mm over a length of 400mm saves about 1kg, getting close to the weight of an assembled hollow lightweight camshaft.  However, the advantage of this 'monobloc' steel billet is an important improvement in stiffness and strength, allowing higher acceleration cam profiles.
